Shimano Fishing Rods
What kind of Shimano surf Fishing Rod should I get for my fiance’s birthday?
All I know is that he likes 10′ to 12′ surf Fishing Rods in this brand “shimano” but I’m not sure exactly which one to get for his surprise birthday give in two weeks.
He loves fishing at the ocean for 25-35 inch stripers and small-large blue fishes!! Hope this helps!
He just got 2 tsunami 12′ fishing rod that he loves but is looking at this brand (shimano)
I didn’t want to ask him too many details b/c he’ll figure out what I’m planning to do.
If you think you know which one he likes can you provide details, names and possibly product number?

And whats the difference between a shimano’s tiralejo spinning and casting rod??
Let me ask you a Q.
Would your Husband be able to choose the correct lipstick, high-heel shoes, blouse, handbag for you if he was placed in this same situation?
Knowing what style of rod he wants, (Spinning or Casting), is very important. Do you want to buy him the whole outfit- Rod And Reel or only The Rod?
If he already HAS 2 12′ Surf-outfit’s he may want a different style Shimano outfit, (IE-Offshore, Inshore, Etc)? Etc, Etc, Etc, Etc?
The problem? The only way to REALLY know these Q’s is to either ask his best fishing partner OR try to slyly pick his brain? Which won’t work, because YOU showing that much interest in his fishing stuff will send red flags up for him! Just like him trying to pick your brain about what color shoes or style of leather purse you’d want.
I have a suggestion.
Get him a gift certificate to a Cabelas, Bass Pro Shops, or local high-scale Tackle Shop. Put the certificate in a good fishing book OR put it inside the pouch of a nice multi-tool-

Write on the card (either inside the book or multi-tool) that you want to go out to lunch with him and then go with him to go shopping using his gift certificate.
This eliminates the struggle of trying to find the correct rod AND won’t “give away” the surprise!
