Is there a colour chart of the flies used in fly fishing?

New to fly fishing and somewhat baffled by the names and uses of all the flies on offer. Do colour charts exist illustrating flies with their names and intended use?

Fly’s break down into different categories , lets start with Naturals , Nymphs , this is the stage of the life cycle when the fly is in a larval stage ( like a caterpillar would be to a butterfly ) these can be taken by Fish anywhere from the lake or river bed right up to the surface.
There are many types of Nymph , Damsel and Mayfly being two of the more often imitated usually with tyings such as Damsel , Pheasant tail , Gold Ribbed Hares Ear , Walkers Mayfly.
Buzzers are another you will come across , these are a representation of the little wrigly things you see in water butts or buckets in the garden, they are the larva of the Mosquito.
These are usually fished within a foot or so of the surface ( but not always )
Emergers , these are to imitate the smaller nymphs as they hatch from their shell in the surface film , this is often a deadly pattern.
Brings us to Dry flies , this is the time when the hatched flies are on the surface, or when terrestial flies get blown onto the water as happens with the crane fly ( daddy longlegs ).
So as you can see , colour is the last thing to worry about . And this is without touching on Lures , Boobies, Streamers , Muddlers . Zonkers and on and on.
If you’re a member of a library , ask them to get some books in on Trout Flies , so you can see whats what. If you can get a copy Robson’s Guide is recomended but I’m not sure if it’s still in print.
Everything above Daddy Longlegs can be fished on a floating line or on really hard days an intermediate with the exeption of the dry fly that needs to be fished on the floating line.
